Video game? Pffff, I get bored with most of them pretty fast. I mean, it doesn't take much thinking to level grind on RPGs, it's rather annoying actually, and for action games my brain and body don't always cooperate well enough. Argh! I enjoy strategy and puzzle games. Myst for instance, hence my obsession with all things D'ni.
Don't get me started on card games, please, they will Always come second, for me, Board Games Rule! And I'm not talking about those enormously complicated Table games, with expensive figurines and numerous huge rule books. Oh, heck no, that stuff makes my head hurt. Strategy is great, I just hate all that reading and measuring with rulers, and painstaking model building, and figurine painting, etc. My Brother in law is really big on that stuff. But he invented an awesome board game that I can't wait to get a copy of! I'll update on that later in a comment.
Do you think I enjoy arguing with mean, horrible, people? No. Far from it. In fact, the stress gets to me, and causes my chronic chest pain and heart arrhythmia to get worse. When you use horrible hurtful words, my heart responds instantly, I have no control over that. It might just decide to stop beating altogether. And yet I keep trying to inform, educate, and convince people to stop hurting and killing babies. Maybe it's not worth it after all. Maybe all the pain and suffering I put myself through in order to try to get through to people isn't worth it. Is it? Am I beating myself up for nothing? Should I just quit? Should I ONLY use Facebook for cute pictures of kittens, and family updates? That's all Dad uses it for. He's constantly surprised at my being upset by Facebook posts. He thinks I'm crazy to be involved with people who say such hurtful things. He thinks it's extremely unhealthy for me. It probably is!
Let me tell you something, Apathy is a cancer on society. When people stop caring what happens to other people, that is when society begins to break and crumble. Our society is not top down, it's bottom up. It starts at family, and goes up to neighborhood, city, and so on. If you don't give two shakes of your right leg what happens to me or anyone else, you are infected with the disease that Will be the death of our society. Believe it. It's a fact.
Oh, and there are other things that make Facebook suck. The "Others" box, for instance. Did you know that All PMs that do not come from friends wind up in that box, and Facebook does not tell you about it? Not one notification! Sure I've seen a lot of spam in there, but there were also some nice messages I would have liked to have seen! And there is the news ticker, or as I call it, the spy ticker, showing you every single little comment and post I'm making. Aaah! I'm trying not to bombard my family with my Intactivism, because I really do not want to upset anyone and get into any fights! But if anyone in my family is spying on me with that ticker, there goes my strategy. And no, I cannot hide everything from that darn ticker! So many reasons to really be mad at Facebook right now. Aaaargh!
So, I'm feeling a bit depressed at the moment. I want some chocolate.

The other day some friends of mine on Facebook who believe it IS man caused really pounded me into the floor with their arguments and facts, until I finally decided that I guess it probably is man caused. Then a very good friend of mine who I see once in a while who constantly rails against man made global warming sent me some other stuff that seems to refute the claims extremely well. And there is this scientist, who wrote a book, who says that we are about to head into a new Ice Age! He backs up this crazy claim with all sorts of facts showing global cooling effects.
And it's all making my head hurt! It hurts! Stop making my head hurt, please! Please?! Look, why does it matter so freaking much whether I believe it is man caused, or not? I can't do anything to stop what ever is going on, even if the human race is solely responsible for it. All of the electricity I use at home comes from hydroelectric dams, and maybe a couple of nuclear power plants, so it doesn't matter what kind of bulbs I use, or whether I use any electricity at all, not one watt contributes negatively to the environment! And I can't quit using gasoline to power the mini-van, that's the only fuel I can use, unless someone wants to pay for an Air Car and give it to me for free, I would LOVE that. The USA is not the only country that is totally addicted to Oil, most of our economy would absolutely implode if Oil stopped, totally, instantly, Today.
I do think it is a good idea to develop alternative energy technologies of all sorts. I do want us to stop using oil and coal, and stop polluting and stuff. But I don't think CO2 should be considered a toxic pollutant. All life on Earth is carbon based. All animal life breaths out CO2, and all plant life breaths it in. Instead of blaming humanity for CO2, which is Not the only source of CO2, how about grow more plants? We can run CO2 through plastic pipes filled with water and algae, which suck it up and grow like crazy, then convert the algae into fuel and lubricant. It's already being done. We can capture carbon and bury it, that's already being done. There are really amazing technologies being developed, let's support them.
I feel like I'm in the middle of a Tug Of War between two sides. I don't want to be on either side. I don't have the ability to change the world one way or the other. It's not important to change My mind on this issue. How about you all duke it out and don't drag me into it anymore, ok? So, I suggest continuing the debate on Imaginative Worlds, but you can post comments here on my blog. Just, please, no more arguing with me on Facebook, it hurts my head. I'm not strictly on one side or the other on this, I just don't Want to be. What I really want, desperately, is to escape this planet full of incomprehensible beings. I feel like an alien visitor trying to make sense of the human race much of the time.
Here are the links my man caused Global Warming friends sent me:
Is there a scientific consensus on global warming?
And this is what my very good friend, who disagrees with man caused global warming, sent me:
"Considering only James Hansen is in the camp of "people are causing global warming" and all the research proving otherwise I'd say anyone who supports it is full of it.
This is just the tip of the ice burg, use it as you see fit."

If marriage is a religious issue, then people have the right to believe differently than you, and marry differently than you, so gay marriage is a Religious Liberty! If it is a civil issue, just a contractual arrangement, then it is a Civil Liberty! You can not claim to defend Liberty while in the same sentence attack another's Liberty!
If you think gays have no rights because there is no specific provision in the Constitution, then you have no right to eat hot dogs and play football either! The Constitution was never intended to limit Our rights and powers, it was written to limit the Government, and give Us all the power!
My core belief system is simple, and absolutely everything else grows from it. I believe in Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness, in that order! Life is like the soil, Liberty is the seed or roots, and the Pursuit of Happiness is the tree trunk. All of my religious and political beliefs are leaves on the branches of that tree. Prop 8 and similar legislation is an evil shovel attacking the roots of my tree! The hatred or misguided beliefs wielding that shovel are wrong!
If you are against Liberty, you are my enemy. I don't care how you choose to live your life. I don't care who or what you marry, you can marry a tree for all I care.
If you think your marriage or your family are somehow threatened by gay people exercising their Liberty to live their lives as they choose, you are seriously deluded! To a child all that matters is life, health, and love. The sex of their parents or guardians has no effect at all on them. Ask any kid with a gay mother or father. Stop making stupid assumptions about the supposed harm of homosexuality. They are not harming you in any way!
First do no harm is a pretty darn good start on how to decide what to do, every single time, every single day. Stop trampling all over the Constitution!

I want to explain my understanding of what Liberty is, and what Rights are. I may be wrong, if so, please explain why I'm wrong.
Liberty is being able to do what you want to, when you want to, where you want to, with whom you want to, as long as you are not harming anyone else or infringing on someone else's Liberty. An owner of a property can tell someone else what they may do with or on that property. If the person doesn't agree, they can just leave.
A right, which is inalienable, is what you have Without government permission. You can not drive a car without a license, for instance, it is therefore Not a right. A right is not something specifically Given to you by the government or any document. Our Constitution specifically sets aside certain rights to be protected by the law. But in a Free country that should not be necessary. All that should be necessary is restrictions on what the government is allowed to do, setting aside everything else to be Rights of all free people. For instance, you can eat a hotdog with ketchup on it at a Baseball game, even though the Constitution doesn't mention hotdogs. It is still an implied Right.
So why is it that people seem to want to legislate away peoples Rights again and again? Sure this country started with slavery in the South, and people fought to free them. But only to a point, because we then had segregation. I can give you dozens of examples of people trying to eliminate more and more Rights.
I don't think we have any Rights anymore in the USA. What we have are privileges. Which are things you can do either with government permission, or until the government says you can't. And the President can just have me assassinated on a whim, or indefinitely detained without charges, a lawyer, or a trial. I can just be disappeared, sent away, and forgotten.
Welcome to Amerika.

I'm not sure what the requirements are for FDIC insurance, but I think it's a good idea to insure the bank against robbery and disaster. So no one loses their money. My bank would let people trade in international and digital currencies, including my favorite, Bitcoin. And I'd have several computers dedicated to Bitcoin Mining, so the bank could make some money on the side. If I do make any loans to anyone it would only be with the bank's own money, not with anyone else's money. Since that could take a while to build up, I guess I wouldn't be loaning money for a while. Oh yes, no Savings accounts either. Your money will stay put, it won't decrease, but it won't increase either. If you fail to pay the monthly fee I'll kindly ask you to withdraw your money and close your account. No free loaders in a business, you know. Unless I decide that my bank will be a Gift Economy based bank, in which case I won't charge anyone anything at all and will have to exist solely on donations. A not for profit bank, who ever heard of that? It might not be possible to remain in business very long, but, I rather like the idea of providing banking services for free, with no fees of any kind at all.
Even if I can't provide banking services for free, absolutely no fees whatsoever, with nothing but donations to keep things going, I'd still try my very best to make my bank the friendliest bank, period. I would not make profit the basis for it's operation. I would make People and their property protection the basis of it's operation. If the idea just won't work, oh well. If it were going to go out of business I'd give everyone their money back and shut the doors. It may, in fact, be the worst idea I've had yet.
